It's time for another sketch challenge here at the Come On Get Crafty blog! Our team has come up with some amazing inspiration for you to help jumpstart your weekend creativity!
First up is Nicole with her take on the sketch...
Nicole says, "I loved how Adrienne's sketch allowed such versatility of including as few or as many embellishments as you wish. With Mother's Day approaching, I wanted to document our oldest son who made me a mom :) ."
Shop Items Used: May Arts (Chevron Twill), Jillibean Soup (Irish Farmhouse Soup Stickers, Fresh Vegetable Soup Stickers), Lily Bee (Sweet Shoppe Label Stickers, Chit Chat Stickers, Accent Stickers), Pebbles (Lakeside Chalkboard Alpha Stickers), Pink Paislee (Cottage Farms Market Patterned Paper)
Next up is Ginny with her take on the sketch. Ginny said, "I started out really close to the sketch, but the more I moved the elements around, the more they all seemed to want to gravitate towards the center of the page :) I still have a few circles and strips of paper elements from the sketch. I love the Basic Grey Hipster Collection, such a fun graphic line for boy layouts."
Shop Items Used: Basic Grey (Hipster 6x6 Paper Pad, Snippets, Wood Veneer Die Cuts, Vintage Stamps)
Here's what Suz came up with...
Suz said, "I loosely interpreted the sketch using the idea of items at the top left middle/middle right and bottom left (so in other words, the flow of the sketch). :)
Shop Items Used: Webster's Pages (Sweet Sentiments Noteworthy Patterned Paper, Composition and Color Paper Pad), Basic Grey (Mint Julep Chipboard Alpha)
Here's Diane's layout using the sketch and she said, "The Pink Paislee Cottage Farms Collection is perfect for vintage photos and my Grandma loved butterflies so I knew I wanted to use a photo of her for the layout to coordinate with the beautiful butterflies in this collection."
Shop Items Used: Pink Paislee (Cottage Farms Barrel, Basket, and Bushel Patterned Paper, Paper Goods, Photo Frames, and Press-Ons)
And here's my take on the sketch...
I really liked the lines of this sketch and stuck very close to it. The Basic Grey Mint Julep Collection is great for a softer, more feminine feel and I thought it was perfect for this layout about my daughter's first big girl bed.
Shop Items Used: Basic Grey (Mint Julep Bottle Cap Stickers, Mint Julep Fabric Tape, Mint Julep Paper Pad, Mint Julep Woven Labels, Mint Julep Snippets, Mint Julep Chipboard Alphas, Hipster Wood Veneer Die Cuts), Fancy Pants (Park Bench Decorative Tags, Park Bench Button Set), Webster's Pages (Sweet Notes Washi Tape Set, Sweet Notes Alpha and Tag Stickers)
Now it's your turn to inspire us! Link up your creations using the sketch on this post by Saturday, May 25th for a chance to win a $5 Gift Card to the Come On Get Crafty shop. And don't forget to post your creations to our Flickr Gallery, too! Good luck and happy crafting :)
