Hello everyone! Most of you are probably getting ready for summer vacation, or have already started the celebration...my kids have been out of school for three weeks already! I've had to make some adjustments to my crafty schedule due to them being home all day and I've really been focusing on getting my projects done a little quicker so anything that saves me time is a plus :)
So I'm here today to show you how I completed this layout in 30 minutes and I also challenged myself to use only one piece of patterned paper.
Step 1: Choose a piece of patterned paper and cut it into three pieces. I chose this piece by American Crafts because I loved the design on both sides and the frame design on the opposite side made it really easy to cut...
I cut my paper about two-thirds of the way down and I cut the bottom "manufacturer" strip off so I could use the pattern that was on the other side. Here's a view of the opposite side of the paper and where I cut it...
Step 2: Use a piece of card stock and adhere each piece of the patterned paper to it...
Step 3: Begin embellishing and add photo...
I sized my photo at 2"x3" so it would fit nicely in the white area of the green frame. I also added a large tag, journaling card, a tiny bit of washi, and a few wood veneer shapes in the other frame spots.
Step 4: Add journaling and finish embellishing...
I added a few more embellishments, journaled in the far left pink frame, added a few mist splatters and was done! This was such a quick and easy page to complete. I hope you try it out and don't forget to check out all of the amazing products that are in the shop!
