Hi All!
Happy last full week of summer (for us at least)! Trying to savor these last few days. SIGH.
Anyway, amidst the scurry of buying school supplies, band camp and more, I found myself in need of a little time to create some thank you cards. And luckily for me, the Project Life 4x6 cards helped me conquer this "to do" task!
I often like trying to find different ways (or simply practical ways, rather) to stretch my stash and create with scrappy items I have on hand. So here are the results of my s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g below:
For both cards, I used the 4x6 Project Life cards as the foundations to my designs.
I used my Silhouette to cut the title out of the journaling card and then stitched around the pink perimeter with gray thread. I placed some ombre Freckled Fawn washi tape behind the cut out sentiment and some textured cardstock at the bottom. Normally, I would add an epoxy brad or two (like where the "O" is) but since I knew this card was being mailed, I decided to keep the card as flat as possible. That's where the die cut sentiment backed with washi comes in--it adds dimension and depth without the bulk. :)
And with this card I simply stitched around the perimeter again as well as the "thank you" sentiment and then used my vintage typewriter to complete the sentiment on the washi tape images on the bottom right of the Project Life card.
