Hello, again! Melissa here again with you today with another installment of "Why Didn't I think of That"!
This is a quick tutorial using the 6x6 paper pads to create a quilted triangle pattern on the background of your card stock. You will need card stock, several 6x6 sheets of pattern paper, embellishments, picture(s), watercolors, and a die cutting machine.
1.) Gather your supplies.
2.) Cut the 6x6 pattern paper into various lengths and widths. The smaller patterns on the 6x6 sheets of paper work well for this "quilted" look. Make a pencil mark on the halfway point on side of the paper and then use your trimmer to cut from each opposite corner to the pencil mark.
4.) Lay the pattern paper triangles down and fit them against each other on your card stock.
5.) Stitch all the triangles down with your sewing machine. (If you do not have a sewing machine, you can hand stitch or you can just glue them down and use a pen to make the stitch marks.)
6.) Place your title in the upper left hand corner of your layout. I also used corresponding water colors to jazz up my title that I had cut out in white card stock.
7.) Cluster embellishments in the corners of your triangles.
And here is what the layout looks like in full with a couple of detail shots below it :-)
