Hi all! Sharing with you today just a small sampling of the many fun new products being showcased here in Vegas for Create and Connect (formerly called CHA).
This convention is always a frenetic bustle of activity with vendors, retailers, and designers walking about the floor, selling their products, buying their products, sharing ideas and inspiration, and networking. The first day is always the craziest and tricky at times to navigate and to take pictures without getting in the way of the business that is being conducted. I always try to be respective of the retailers time and space, and for that reason, I only took a few pictures yesterday, but plan to get plenty more today. :)
**That being said, I think the fastest way for me to share is through my Instagram/Twitter feed; SuzMannecke (no spaces) so follow along there if you are able.
Now, on to some fun finds from Day 1. (*Note: I did not lug my big camera along for the trip this time because it proved to be painful to carry around all day long last time, so these pics are all from my iphone and definitely not the best images, but hopefully you get the idea! :)
Basic Grey: I have to say they knocked it out of the ball park with their lines; Capture, Persimmon, 25th and Pine, RSVP, and Carte Postale. They came out with these awesome paper packs of "The Best of Basic Grey" where they have compiled collections of favorite paper patterns from their collections; including those of the past! Brilliant yes?!
From their adorable Christmas Line; 25th and Pine, these mixed brads and tags. Definitely putting these on my Stocking Wish List!
Other fun scrappy items from Basic Grey were:
acetate letters
chipboard alphas
printed feathers (cool collection that has patternedpaper feathers along with classy gold metallic feathers too)
Waterfall Theme Pack which is an awesome collection of journaling and die cut cards, labels and alphabet stickers all in one package (Kinda a fun Crafty Kit Bits of sorts!)
stamp sets (love them all but especially the Persimmon line and the 25th and Pine.
Simple Stories had these adorable brads and embellies and were showcasing a new line that is perfect for those who love Disney and theme park travel.
Here's a particular piece from their Magic collection that caught my eye:
Some ribbon from May Arts that caught my eye:
And I fell in love with this awesome wood veneer tape (you read that right) from a company called ARC Crafts. I love that the veneer is thin enough to use with die cutting machines and that it also comes in sheets that you can print on, spray, mist, etc.
Ok, so I realize this is just a few tidbits from the show, but it gives you a small sampling of items. Based on past shows I have attended today and tomorrow will be easier to get more images from the booths as it is less hectic.
So what manufacturers do you want to see the latest from? I plan to catch Elle's Studio, American Crafts and Project Life TM, Echo Park/Carta Bella (Kaitlin Sheaffer-Ormolu), Fancy Pants, Bella Blvd, Webster's Pages/ALlison Kreft, and Chic Tags today. Let me know of other companies you want to see and I will snag some Instagrams. ;)
*Note: Jillybean Soup, Lily Bee are not in attendance and October Afternoon is walking the floor. There are others not in attendance I am certain, but those are the companies I am aware of.
I will be hosting a giveaway soon (think some new goodies from CHA vendors/retailers) so be sure to check back in for more updates on Instagram and details from CHA. Oh, and Friday's COGC Guest Featured Designer? You will loveeee! She is super sweet and crazy talented too! ;)
Ok, gotta run! I know you are wanting to see more goodies so off to the show I go! Have a great Wednesday!
