Come On Get Crafty

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I'm here today showcasing a couple of my favorite Come On Get Crafty shop items...American Crafts My Girl Hopscotch Bits and Freckled Fawn Wood Chips! 

I love anything wood veneer and I just love the way these two items compliment each other on my layout.  

I used the Freckled Fawn Heart Wood Chips and Cloud Wood Chips...they were perfect for my "summery" layout of me and my daughter enjoying a beautiful day playing in the yard.  

I used the American Crafts Wood Veneer Tags in a grid design along with a couple of my favorite photos from that day.  I layered sun rays that I cut from my Silhouette behind a few of them to help bring the grid design together.

Happy Friday, everyone!  I'm so excited to be featuring Katie Rose here on the blog today!  

My name is Katie Rose.  I live in a small town on the coast of New Hampshire with my husband and our 3 kids...2 boys and a little girl, who keep me on my toes.  I've been scrapbooking for about 12 years.  I think my style changes a little every year, but I always try to keep the focus on my photos.  I am currently really into the anchor trend and I also love arrows.  I use them on almost every page!  Lately, I am really inspired by quilt designs on my layouts.  I find tons of them on Pinterest.  When I'm not scrapbooking I actually run a business.  I co-own a childcare center for 120 kids with my sister.  We are in our 12th year of business and I am now able to do my work from home, which leaves me some extra time for scrapbooking!  I am super excited to be featured here on Come On Get Crafty...thanks so much!

Suz said, "I really loved playing with this sketch and knew right away what photos I wanted to scrap with and what COGC shop products I wanted to use as well.  I initially started out with the idea of rotating the sketch 90 degrees and pretty much stuck to that design arrangement.  I decided to use the Freckled Fawn wooden "remember" frame to highlight one of the photos and thought it would be fun to use the chipboard heart and make it into a strawberry by adding a small amount of the "B" side of the Lily Bee Lollipop paper as the stem."

I was really inspired by the colors and the playfulness of the Sweet Shoppe Collection by Lily Bee Designs and I thought they would be perfect for a layout using some photos from my son's last day of kindergarten.  I also really liked the Chipboard banner pieces (also from the Sweet Shoppe Collection) and used them throughout my page.

I created a Project Life page to showcase a few of my favorite things.

I'll start off my list with these journal cards by Liz Tamanaha. The woodgrain journal card in this set makes me swoon.  



 

Next up are the new Pebbles Lakeside journal quote books. I used them all along this strip,  along with the Freckled Fawn wood chips frames to finish off my list for today.  They are a brand new item and I really like that they include the pieces that are cut out, too, to get even more mileage out of them.
