Happy Friday everyone! Please join me in welcoming our Featured Guest, Jennifer Ciriano, here at the Come On Get Crafty blog today!
Hi All!
Happy last full week of summer (for us at least)! Trying to savor these last few days. SIGH.
Anyway, amidst the scurry of buying school supplies, band camp and more, I found myself in need of a little time to create some thank you cards. And luckily for me, the Project Life 4x6 cards helped me conquer this "to do" task!
I often like trying to find different ways (or simply practical ways, rather) to stretch my stash and create with scrappy items I have on hand. So here are the results of my s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g below:
For both cards, I used the 4x6 Project Life cards as the foundations to my designs.
I used my Silhouette to cut the title out of the journaling card and then stitched around the pink perimeter with gray thread. I placed some ombre Freckled Fawn washi tape behind the cut out sentiment and some textured cardstock at the bottom. Normally, I would add an epoxy brad or two (like where the "O" is) but since I knew this card was being mailed, I decided to keep the card as flat as possible. That's where the die cut sentiment backed with washi comes in--it adds dimension and depth without the bulk. :)
And with this card I simply stitched around the perimeter again as well as the "thank you" sentiment and then used my vintage typewriter to complete the sentiment on the washi tape images on the bottom right of the Project Life card.

Today I am showcasing the Elle's Studio Saltwater Frames. I love these little frames, they are a fun addition to any page. I treated them each like little design blocks and set about embellishing each one, so much fun!!
I also added some of the Studio Calico Atlantic wood veneers, I can't get enough of those :) I am still enjoying scrapping summer pages. I don't want it to end!!
shop items used-Studio Calico(Atlantic wood veneer) Elle's Studio(Saltwater Frames, Saltwater tabs) Fancy Pant(What a Wonderful Day-suberb paper, remarkable paper) Pebbles(Lakeside phrase stickers)
Good morning everyone! I'm back today with my monthly pocket pages for May. This month I used the Project Life Blush Core Kit along with some random items from the shop.
I used the Studio Calico Snippets Journal card, to indicate the month. I plan to use these through the entire year.
The Lily Bee Label Stickers are great to use for journaling right on top of photos.
Did you know with the right kind of pen and ink you can stamp and journal right on top of your photo, like I did here using the Jillibean Chilled Cucumber Soup stamps in the shop.
I also used a bit of the Fancy Pants Trendsetter 6x6 Paper Pad to accent some of my photos and Project Life Blush Core Kit cards.
Shop items used: Project Life Blush Core Kit, Fancy Pants (Trendsetter 6x6 Paper Pad, Label Stickers), Studio Calico (Snippets Journal Cards), Lily Bee Sweet Shoppe (Circle and Tag Stickers, Letter Stickers, Label Stickers), Jillibean Soup (Chilled Cucumber Soup Stamps).
Thanks so much for coming by. Have a great week!
Happy Friday, we made it through another week :) Today I am sharing my love of all of the new cork products out there right now. Fancy Pants is just one of the companies that has some super cute cork products right now.
I love those hearts & stars, I could use them on everything!!
I am sharing a home decor project today made with the Fancy Pants What a Wonderful Day Reminder paper. I have had this chalkboard for years and I love it, but it was needing some updating. I had modpodged a map paper over the original design a while ago and I liked it, but time for something new. I had been thinking of adding a piece of cork to make it a memo board, but I didn't have any cork thin enough. So then I thought of the cork paper! Honestly you can hardly tell that it is paper and not real cork :) I am going to use washi tape to keep my reminders tacked to the paper. Ahhhh, the wonders of washi tape-you can take it off and no sticky residue!! I also had to add the Pebbles wood piece, we live at the lake and I love all of the little reminders of it in the summer.
shop items used- Fancy Pants (reminder paper) Pebbles (word veneer) Freckled Fawn (mum flower washi tape) American Crafts (strawberry lemonade paper) Lily Bee (licorice whip paper)
More varieties of grab bags have been added for your shopping pleasure!

Happy Thursday!
Good Morning, everyone! This is Melissa here for the first time on the Come On, Get Crafty Blog! I'm super excited to be here and to share some ideas and inspiration with you all!
This is going to be a simple tutorial using some paper weaving as your layout background.
1.) Choose some pattern papers that work well together.
TIP: To make this easy on yourself, choose papers that are all from the same collection. For my layout, I chose pattern papers that all belonged to the Lily Bee Sweet Shoppe collection.
Hello everyone! I'm here today showcasing one of my favorite new lines in the shop, "What A Wonderful Day" from Fancy Pants!
I used the tape stickers for my banner and to add some layers beneath my photo. I also used various pieces of patterned paper from the collection and layered the corrugated paper under my photo.
I misted a bunch of colors over a mask I had leftover from a Silhouette Cut to give my background paper some pop!
Shop Items Used: Fancy Pants (What A Wonderful Day - Terrific Patterned Paper, Swell Patterned Paper, This Way Patterned Paper, Tape Stickers, Sticker Fundamentals, Turquoise Corrugate Paper, Park Bench Button Set), Basic Grey (Candy Buttons), Chic Tags (Road Trip Note Clips), Lily Bee (Sweet Shoppe Chit Chat Stickers & Letter Stickers), Freckled Fawn (Black Pinwheel Washi Tape), Divine Twine (Pink)
