Happy Tuesday, friends!  I'm here today sharing my "Everyday life. Documented." spread for Week 28...

We had a very routine week...went to the pool a few times, ate ice cream for lunch, played in the sandbox...just enjoying summer to the fullest :)  

I loved using the Saltwater Frames from Elle's Studio in this week's spread.  They were the perfect size for the 3x4 pockets.

I'm a sucker for speech bubbles so I  really enjoyed using the Jillibean Soup Chilled Cucumber Clear Stamps for my title/date card and the aqua striped filler card.

Friday Faves | Fun & Fancy Pants Free & Freckled Fawn Wood Veneers

 

Hi All! Back with a few shop favorites of mine that I have been creating with this week; The Fancy Pants "What A Wonderful Day" Collection. I love the whimsical and yet graphic feel to this line and the bright pops of yellow and red complemented by some soft pastels. And the dimensional cork shaped stickers?! So fun to create with to add some pop to the design.

 

And here's a few cards I made with some of these scrap goodies:

Hello everyone!  I hope you're having a great week :)  I'm here today with a quick and easy way to dress up the adorable What A Wonderful Day Patterned Envelopes from Fancy Pants using the coordinating Ephemera Pack.  

I always find myself needing small envelopes for gift cards, little notes of affection, and for gift-giving and these are perfect for any occasion...

I don't always have a lot of time to spend decorating items for gifts, so the Ephemera Pack was very helpful in dressing up the envelopes.  

I kept my embellishing simple so the envelopes wouldn't be too bulky or hard to package.  

I used my Tiny Attacher stapler to punch some of the Ephemera Pack pieces before I adhered them to the envelopes so I wouldn't affect the ability to slip something inside of them.

I clipped them to my display frame in my craft room so they would be in clear view and easy to grab in a hurry...they also look great as decor :)

Today I'm showcasing the Project Life bits kits. I used the Kraft edition cards on a traditional layout. I really like how versatile they are. I backed the photos with different cards and used the playing card for my title. 

I dressed up the playing card and the Freckled Fawn heart wood chips with some Glossy Accents to give them some dimension.

{and just a little fact about the "me" heart...when it's right side up, it says "us", but when I saw it in the pack it looked like it said "me" but upside down, which worked perfectly in the heart on the playing card}

Hello everyone!  I'm Melanie Blackburn and I'm so very excited to be guest designing for Come On Get Crafty!  A little bit about me...I'm currently a SAHM to 3 beautiful girls.  I started crafting when my oldest was born 8 years ago and I'm so very grateful for discovering this hobby.  Along the way, I've met some amazing people who I now call friends.  I've also had various opportunities which have helped me become the scrabooker/crafter that I am today.  I love to play with paper, it satisfies two needs; one of which is to preserve memories for my family and the other is to do something crafty. I've always loved paper products.  As a young girl I loved to browse the aisles of the local paper crafting store.  I had a wide collection of notebooks, pretty pens, and stickers.  This love of paper has now taken the form of scrapbooking.  I describe my style as "eclectic flair".  I love to mix patterns, embellishments, and include fun accents on my layouts.  I love to add lots of layers and techniques to my projects and sewing on a layout is also a must for me.  I'm so very happy to be sharing my layout with you today.  Thank you Nicole and Adrienne!

Product Showcase | Elle's Studio Saltwater Collection

 

Hi All! Happy post 4th of July week to you! 

Last week my family and I had a Staycation of sorts(camping, theme park, cabin and lake time) and this line was the perfect "go to" to complete my week of "Everyday life. Documented." "Staycation Edition."

 

 

Below is an insert I added to my spread as this week definitely was photo heavy. **The left half of this photo is the front of the insert and the right is the back side.

I journaled a fair amount behind a few of the photos and tucked behind the pics. Don't be afraid to cut up your Saltwater cards and use in different ways. For example, I cut off the top of one jounraling card and added it to the bottom of one photo so that it could be the jounraling blurb for the photo beneath it. (*the "someone loves fish").

 

Here is another week where I used a fair amount of the Saltwater Collection:

 

 

This is another insert I did and the top left photo is an example where I cut up the journaling card and moved the tab/sentiment portion of it to another place to suit my design.

How are you doing on your Project Life TM? Keeping current? Yes? No? If not, no worries. Just start where you are! you can always start working backwards when you start seeing progress. And even if you don't, getting some of your life documented is better than being paralyzed by creative perfectionism. Isn't it? 

Whatever you get done, as Ali Edwards has so often said, "It is ok." I wholeheartedly agree.
